We plan to hold a long walk at least every six months - one in spring and one in autumn. These will demand a modicum of fitness and be long (20+ miles approx) covering hilly land or coastal paths. It is intended that at least one of these will be a two-day event and include an overnight camp.

It is hoped that at least one other walk will be planned each month. - local weekly walks will be introduced if there is the interest.

With a view to expanding walkers understanding of the countryside sessions will be organised to include map-reading, bush craft, old country crafts and skills, plant identification and uses, flora and fauna identification and habits, safety & emergency first aid, outdoors cooking and local history.

If anyone has any special skills or knowledge of any country type subject please let John know so he can include it in our events.

We also hope to hold a Kloeting Competition at one of the forthcoming events - this is a gentle, game similar to linear bowls played on the Dutch/German border.

If anyone has any specific walk they would like included then please contact John with the details.
